Buy the Laptop Desk through Home → Buy → Skills. Move it with the arrow controls, rotate it with R, and select Place to finish. After leaving Buy mode, select the desk to practise coding, take a freelance gig or run an Instagram shop.

Buy and place the desk
- At home, enter Buy mode.
- In the Catalogue, select Skills, then Laptop Desk.
- Move the desk preview into a clear 2×2 area using the arrow keys or on-screen arrows.
- Press R, or use the circular rotate control, to turn it.
- Select the green Place button or press Enter. Use Cancel or Esc to abandon the placement instead.
- Close Buy mode with the X in the top-right corner.
- Select the desk in your room. The Laptop Desk action panel is the completion check: you should now be choosing activities rather than moving a furniture preview.

These are the panel’s effect labels, not measured skill gains or a fixed payout table. To train Coding, choose Practice Coding. To start an earning activity, choose Freelance Gig or Run Instagram Shop.
If you are still moving the desk
You are still in furniture placement. Finish with Place / Enter, close Buy mode, then select the placed desk. The arrow and rotate controls belong to placement; the four activity buttons belong to the desk’s normal action panel.
If you change your mind before placing it, use Cancel / Esc. Do not treat selecting the catalogue card alone as a completed setup.
Will a second desk double your income?
There is no confirmed doubling effect. Buy one desk to access its actions; do not budget for two on the assumption that earnings stack.
